In our room here, we had nice warm heating, a TV with lots of channels, and a desk for writing stuff down. For breakfast, they had tasty toast, cheese, and different kinds of meats 🍳.

The building was very interesting. The rooms were fine, nothing special, but very clean and perfectly adequate. Setting was nice.
The restaurant was not good. The first night they had 1 waitress serving 27 people, 25 who arrived at the same time and they knew 22 of those were coming. The second night the food just missed. Breakfast fine though nothing special.

Everything! The hotel was only an hour's drive from Bilbao and therefore very suitable for an overnight stop. As someone had said in a previous review it was as good as a Parador without the cost. IThe hotel was spotlessly clean, there was a good range of toiletries and the breakfast provided a good range of food, both hot and cold,

Bit of a mixed bag - lovely looking place inside and out and the reception staff were very good. But they tried to run quite a busy dinning room on only 2 staff and in the morning there was a splendid scrambled egg and bacon selection only no one had turned on the hotplate so it was stone cold and inedible, a pity. The dinning staff seemed to have lost interest as well. It rained hard in the night and the drains must have backed up because the smell of sewage was overpowering.

It's located at a monastery and beside a church. Very unlikely location for a hotel but very charming indeed even for non-Catholics. Free and ample parking available for those who drive, within the hotel and church compounds, though the former is preferred. Good view of the village from the hotel compound too as it's located on a slightly elevated level. Miranda de Ebro is considered a village by the locals, and while it is served by Renfe trains, train arrivals are of low frequency and the village is best reached by driving from Bilbao (about 1.5 hours drive away). Streets are not too difficult to navigate once you get past the first time. Hotel is located on the other side of town just across a small river and easy to reach with low traffic volume. Short walk from the hotel to the village centre (about 10 mins at leisure pace) where many pintxos bars and restaurants operate and comes alive in the night. Good place to use a base to explore the La Rioja region as Haro is just a 20km easy drive away.

A very good budget hotel reasonably priced with good staff. The rooms were basic but had tv, dryer, etc, really all we needed. After a long drive my Wife would have liked a bath, but hay ho the shower was fine. The free parking was a good bonus.
The actual location is not in the best area of the town, we felt uneasy at night walking around. Not being shown the evening menu of the day and shortage of staff. Slight toiletry smell in the morning.

Perfect spot in a beautiful area overlooking the town and convenient to Casa de los Urbina within walking distance.

We got great value for our money at Hospederia El Convento. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect - just a short walk to the center. The staff treated us like old friends, giving us a warm welcome and making us feel at home.
The morning meal could have been better with a wider variety of options.

The hotel was quiet and very relaxing. The decor was a quirky mix of traditional furniture with modern art. Given the unique feel the hotel was excellent value for money.
There was no information about local places of interest or the history of this unique hotel. Not everyone takes there computer/smart phone on holiday!!

The location was perfect and tranquil for walking around a mediaeval fortification...

I had a lovely stay at a 16th-century monastery close to the river. the location was perfect, with a very nice historical town center just a short walk away. the room was comfortable and spotless, and the bathroom was modern with a fantastic shower. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had a good choice of options. the restaurant in the hotel also offered evening meals, which were tasty and satisfying. it was a great experience to be able to stay in such a beautiful and historic setting.
I did find the lack of air conditioning a bit uncomfortable, especially during the hot summer nights.
